A Day In The Life Of…?

So I said in my last post that I was going to try to post more often, so here I am, only one week later! So maybe I will actually be able to post once a week!

Funny fact, I just typed out like two paragraphs about my third term books and realized that I already blogged about them in an earlier post. Real skilled, right? I am going to blame my stupidity on the fact that I  have a cold. I could write reviews on the books I read during third term I guess, but I don’t feel like it right now. 🙂

So now that I have no idea what to write about, I have decided to give you a rundown of my day today. Let me know if I completely bore you, and I will try to make my life more exciting 😛

Got up at 8:15 this morning, which is considered sleeping in to me. Some people think that all home schoolers sleep half the day and then do school in their pajamas. I am not one of those people. I can’t stand to sleep in past 9:00; and I don’t like staying in my pajamas all day.

So anyway, I had a chiropractor appointment at 11:00 this morning, so since I am on summer break and I have a cold, I sat around on my computer and then read a book that I have already read at least twice before (Red Rock Mysteries, #13) until it was time for my appointment. I go to the chiropractor because my wrist and neck are messed up and I am trying to get them fixed, I have not felt much progress yet, but I still have hope! Then I got home, ate lunch (mac and cheese) and then went to the library. I am super excited because Samantha found me a book that I have been wanting to read! Its called Nightmare Academy by Frank Peretti. I have gotten through the first couple chapters already and its starting out great! Then I came home, read my book, messed around on my computer, and then sat down to write this! Exciting, right? Oh, and I read my driver’s manual for about half an hour, I am almost done with it!

This post turned out shorter than I expected, but oh well! By the way I was out on You Tube today, and I was looking for cool music videos for the Avengers movie, you know, like they have super cool ones for Hunger Games? And I was very disappointed by the videos. Some of them are decent,  but then they have guys screaming out the lyrics to songs that sound horrible! So I really need someone to make awesome Avengers music videos. it would make my day!

Bye for now! (I will return next week, I am determined)

3rd Term Books

Sorry it has been so long since I posted! I don’t even have a plausible excuse, I haven’t been that busy!

So anyway, instead of splitting our school year into two semesters, we split it up into three terms. Each term is twelve weeks long. Third term just started last week, so I wanted to share what literature I am reading right now. I have continued a couple of the books from second term, but most of them I just started last week.

This one is called The Autobiography Of George Muller. And of course it is written by George Muller.  I am really enjoying this book so far, because George Muller has a very interesting life!

Next I have Much Ado About Nothing by Shakespeare. The version that I am reading is called Shakespeare Made Easy, and it is in play form. The nice thing about this version is that it has the original version on one side of the page, and the simplified version on the other side. So for people like me, who don’t get as much out of the play when I read it in the old language, you can still skim the old language, and read the simpler language, or however you want to do it.

This book I have been reading all year. It is called 101 Famous Poems and is by Roy J. Cook. It  has some really good poems in it!

A Girl Of The Limberlost by Gene Stratton-Porter is my favorite book that I am reading this term so far. It is a very good story!

And last but not least we have David Copperfield by Charles Dickens. This one is starting out really good too!

So those are the books I am reading! Hopefully I will be able to motivate myself to write reviews on all of them once I finish them!
